When choosing new windows for your home. you want to work with a contractor who will provide you with personalized solutions that fit your needs, wants, and budget. Double hung windows, our most popular window style, are preferred by many homeowners because they are so easy to clean due to an inward tilting sash. The double hung window can be opened by lowering the top or raising the bottom sash.
Double hung windows offer optimal airflow options because they open from the bottom up or from the top down. The sash tilts inward, making it easy for you to clean both sides of the window without stepping outside. They are an extremely versatile window type, too, complementing any home's architectural design, and their energy efficiency can help you save money on your utility bills each month.
Double hung windows are perfect for most traditional American homes, including Cape Cods, Colonials, Victorians, craftsman, ranchers, cottages, farmhouses, or tudors. Depending on the style of your home, a grid pattern for your double hung windows could give them an added custom touch and the opportunity to completely transform your home’s curb appeal.
